You would think that TVR owners would be satisfied with having more power than most under their right foot but no, there is an increasing demand for more power. We offer a range of upgrades and services that can increase or simply recover lost power. These can start with simply tuning the engine and ensuring that everything is function correctly. We see a lot of cars that have had the wrong parts fitted and are losing performance without realising it. A common mistake can be fitting the wrong specification fuel pressure regulator. This can lose upto 10 or more BHP and more importantly, that crisp response and surge of torque that is so characteristic of the Rover V8 engine.

If more power is required we can rolling road tune the car and set it up correctly for you your requirements. We can do this with acclaimed ECU guru Mark Adams who will re-chip the car for the best performance and/or to allow the car to run on unleaded fuel!

Beyond that we can uprate the fuel injection system with a larger flow air meter and fuel injectors coupled with a carbon fibre or larger throttle body plenum chamber to start increasing the horsepower and performance. This will typically give about 25 to 40 BHP without sacrificing the mechanical reliability of the engine. This has been done with Steve'Heaths 390SE, which has now covered some 20,000 miles driving to, from or on tracks!

For even more performance we can fit big valve heads, deck the block to improve the combustion efficiency and fit hotter cam shafts. Bigger engines are also possibilities: we have fitted a 4.6 litre V8 into a V8S and similar upgrades are possible with other V8 TVRs. If you want a 5.2 litre monster engine we can build and fit it for you.
