Re-useable competition numbers My competition numbers were made by printing a series of numbers onto a A4 sheets of white paper and then laminating them. Any PC drawing package or word processor can be used to do this. The font should be plain and legible and about 9 inches tall. The A4 sheets have a second number on the reverse which means that you can reduce the numbers you require. The secret is to prevent the same number appearing on the front as on the back. Such a sequence can be achieved by simply reversing the printing as shown: Side 1: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Side 2: 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 With this set of 10 laminated numbers, you can create any number from 0 to 99. Add a single sheet with a 1 and a 2 on it, and you can cover from 0 to 299. To put a number on each side of the car will require two sets to be made. Using the sheets With a multiple digit number, the two sheets can be joined together in the middle with white electrician's tape and taped to the car using black electricians's tape to create the recommended numbers on a white background de-limited by a black border as per the MSA Blue Book regulations. With a single digit number, simple tape the single sheet to the car. Remember to remove the numbers when driving on public roads after the event. | ||||||||
